Hi everyone!
This is my first ever venture onto a website/forum for depression. I am so glad to have found like minded people.
I am a 41 year old single mum to a set of twins. I have suffered with stress and anxiety for a long time now, but I can now admit that the last 2 years it has progressed into full blown depression. (Heaps of huge life changes and problems as well as medical problems being the number 1 trigger).
I am currently taking Prozac. I am not sure if it actually makes me feel any better. I came off it again for a break as I felt it was not doing me any good at all, but I felt drastically worse and the come down and blubbering became unbearable and prompted me back onto them.
My GP was going to try me on another type of anti depressant but advised me that for me to get anything stronger it would incur some nasty side effects so I am sticking with the old fluoxetine for now. I already take a fair mix of medication so I really can't afford anything that will give me further problems.
Any advice very welcome and I look forward to moaning more to you all and hearing about all your own life stories.
