I've been doing Billy's Bootcamp (which I borrowed from my GF), and I've also been doing Pilates. I found "The Complete Guide of Pilates for Men" and it's done miracles for me. I've also been lifting weights. I started with 10 pounds, which shows just how lazy I used to be. Now I'm
going to be heading off to the store in a week or so to get some 30 pound weights. I'm gonna try to get up to at least 50 and a max of 60.
I found a book called "Stretching" and it's helped a LOT! Almost 90% of my stretches were being done completely wrong! I think all those years of doing them wrong is what has messed up my neck and back. And also made my legs what they are now. Now my neck and back feel better. Still some pain, but that's because they've been misalligned from the incorrect stretching.
Hopefully I can get me some running shoes (I only have hiking boots to wear, I couldn't find anything in size 14) and start some walking around, then jogging, then do a whole lot of running. And since it's really hot out now, I have more reason to do so!
This is a new start for me because I'm wanting to get healthy for my GF. I want to be able to take care of her and our future children. Not have them take care of me. I'm also going to quit smoking by the end of the year. Or at least down to 1 pack a week. I'm at 3 packs a week now, and it's not good at all. Especially since they cost so much. $6/pack!!
I'll keep posting about my accomplishments. If anybody has any ideas for other things to do, or books to read that'll benefit me in any way, let me know!
